For Sellers
Green Zone Home can perform a home energy audit identifying ways
the home can become more efficient. We can then facilitate
implementation of these upgrades in order to make any existing home a
“green” home. We will provide copies of a written report as well as
short flyers describing the efficiency aspect of the home and why the
home is indeed energy efficient and “green”. We also will supply a
Green Zone Home lawn sign for the time of the listing to draw attention
to the home as being a “green” home
For Buyers
Green Zone Home can perform a visual on-site inspection of a home
during a buyer option period to evaluate the components of the home
that impact overall efficiency. Any areas that appear to need attention
will be noted. If more in depth evaluation and testing of the home and
its components are necessary then that can be performed, too. We can
make recommendations for improvements necessary and make basic
estimates of the cost for these improvements which can then be used in
further dealings with the seller or just to give the buyer a better
idea about their potential purchase.
For Lenders
Green Zone Home can facilitate energy efficient mortgages that
increase the amount for which a potential buyer qualifies, and can
provide the necessary certification on home loans that require special
energy audits, such as those through the
Texas Veterans Land Board. We can also perform cost-payback analyses on energy efficient improvements.
